Leadbeter Prepares for 2025-26 Legislative Session with Plans to Introduce 29 Bills
HARRISBURG – As the 2025-26 Pennsylvania Legislative Session gets underway, state Rep. Robert Leadbeter (R-Columbia) is already taking bold steps to address the key issues facing the Commonwealth. With co-sponsorship memos for 29 bills already, Leadbeter is demonstrating his commitment to delivering practical, conservative solutions in the upcoming legislative term.
“Being in the minority doesn’t mean sitting on the sidelines,” said Leadbeter. “It means working even harder to ensure our values are represented and that my constituents see real progress in Harrisburg.”
Leadbeter’s proposals cover a wide range of critical issues, from regulatory reform aimed at boosting job growth to defending parental rights in education. A former small business owner, corporate executive, and founding member of the PA House Freedom Caucus, Leadbeter is using his extensive experience to address the challenges Pennsylvanians face. His legislative priorities focus on reducing burdensome taxes, supporting small businesses, and creating opportunities for families across the state.
Some of his recent legislative efforts include bills to combat human trafficking, expand property tax relief for seniors, and strengthen law enforcement and border security to ensure Pennsylvania communities remain safe.
Among Leadbeter’s 29 proposals are two significant initiatives: protecting job opportunities for U.S. citizens by opposing the hiring of undocumented workers at state universities and ending taxpayer-funded subsidies for the film industry. These proposals reflect Leadbeter’s commitment to promoting fairness, protecting taxpayers, and ensuring that government resources are used wisely.
“Our state thrives when we get government out of the way, prioritize fiscal responsibility, protect individual freedoms, and defend family values,” Leadbeter said. “These proposals are just the beginning of what I hope will be a transformative session for Pennsylvania.”
As the General Assembly prepares for the new session, Leadbeter is focused on delivering results that reflect the values and concerns of his constituents. With his experience, leadership, and proactive approach, he is ready to continue making a significant impact in the new two-year term.
