HARRISBURG- Rep. Robert Leadbeter (R-Columbia) recently joined a panel of state legislators at the annual Farm Bureau Luncheon to discuss issues facing the agriculture industry in Pennsylvania.
Secretary of Agriculture Russel Reading also spoke at the event to highlight agricultural priorities he outlined in his state budget proposal last month.
“Agriculture is our number on industry in Pennsylvania, so it is very important that we focus on agricultural issues to ensure that we have a thriving economy,” said Leadbeter. “As representative of a rural district, I was happy to be on the panel to bring up concerns that I hear from constituents in Columbia County.”
Leadbeter emphasized his commitment to advocating for policies that will benefit the agricultural industry as the House enters session later this month.
