More Than $1.04 Million Secured for Local School Funding, Says Leadbeter

HARRISBURG –Rep. Robert Leadbeter (R-Columbia) announced he secured more than $1.04 million in local school safety funding to support students and schools in the 109th Legislative District.
These grants, which come from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD), will help strengthen school security and ensure students, teachers and staff have a safe environment to learn and succeed.
The allocations were as follows:
• Berwick Area School District: $221,030.
• Central Columbia School District: $182,043.
• Bloomsburg Area School District: $169,091.
• Southern Columbia Area School District: $155,139.
• Benton Area School District: $126,221.
• Millville Area School District: $124,186.
• Columbia-Montour Area Vocational Technical School: $70,000.
“Securing these critical dollars is a worthwhile investment in our children, teachers and communities,” said Leadbeter. “I’m proud to deliver resources that will help schools in the long term and ensure students can focus on learning.”
